CORPORATE ORGANIZATION:

To optimally meet our wide variety of tasks and mission objectives the Marine Corps Historical Company’s corporate structure is broken down into three operational elements; The Programing Division, Research and Development Division, and Material Division. The three Divisions are coordinated by a Director (DO), supported by a Management & Administrative Branch. As with the active Marine Corps, Loyalty, Integrity, and Mission Accomplishment are the number one priorities.

HEADQUARTERS: Administrative & Management

The Corporate Headquarters is run by the Director/CEO supported by an administrative staff and the Executive Board, and is responsible for the coordination of all functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the corporate organization, and implementation of operational objectives. The Headquarters ensure the smooth running of the company, and coordinates activities between the three divisions. The Admin. & Management Branch is divided into administrative sections.

PROGRAM DIVISION

This Division, which is the primary public face of the Company, is responsible for the implementation and presentation of historical programs and exhibits presented directly by the USMCHC. The Division, under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Programming (DDP), is divided into geographic districts. Each District is managed by a District Coordinator (DC). All volunteer members fall under this Division.

MATERIEL DIVISION

This Division is responsible for the accountability, maintenance and care, storage, and procurement of all assets owned by the USMCHC. The Division, under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Materiel (DDM), and is divided into two sections, each under the supervision of a Section Chief.

  • The Ordinance Section maintains all weapons and ordinance related materials.

  • The Material Section is responsible for maintaining all reproduction uniforms and equipment within the Company’s inventory, cataloging and preserving all original historical artifacts, and the care and upkeep of all exhibit related material, artwork, and other Company assets necessary to meet mission objectives.

ACADEMIC AND TECHNICAL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (R&D) DIVISION

This Division, under the supervision of the Deputy Director of R&D (DRD), is responsible for all program and training development; historical research; technical writing to include scripts, articles, interpreters guides and manuals, etc.; maintenance of archival records and material; and consultation to other agencies.
